DO I NEED A DOCTOR’S REFERRAL?

No referral is required to access physiotherapy services; however, occasionally some insurers require a medical referral to cover or reimburse for service costs.

ARE THERE TRAVEL FEES FOR MOBILE PHYSIOTHERAPY?

We provide care to individuals within the City of Winnipeg at no extra charge. There is a travel fee applied for clients living outside of the city that is dependent on the location of the residence.

WHAT TO EXPECT YOUR FIRST APPOINTMENT?

Your therapist will arrive 5-10 minutes prior to your appointment time and will require a 5x10 foot area to set up the treatment table. If the treatment table is not accessible or comfortable for you, we are flexible and happy to treat you in a safe location of your choosing. Time will be dedicated to a thorough history taking and goals for treatment will be determined prior to physical assessment and treatment interventions. Following the session you and your therapist will determine a plan for your treatment needs going forward and set up additional appointments should they be needed.

WHAT METHODS OF PAYMENT DO YOU ACCEPT?

We accept payment via direct billing, e-transfer, cheque, and credit card.

WHAT TYPES OF HEALTH INSURANCE DO YOU ACCEPT?

A portion or the entirety of service costs are often covered through insurance providers including:

  • Manitoba Blue Cross

  • Workers Compensation Board

  • Veterans Affairs

  • Green Shield

  • Telus Health

  • Manitoba Public Insurance 

Many extended health plans provide direct billing. Please contact us to determine if your extended health coverage allows this service.
