WHAT EXPERTISE AND EXPERIENCE ARE REQUIRED?
We are seeking individuals who are comfortable providing care to diverse clientele and conditions in both hospital/personal care facilities and in-home settings. Therapists should possess strong interpersonal skills, time management and communication with the ability to adapt to unique requirements of each patient and environment. As a client-centered practice we value collaboration with our colleagues in other disciplines and families to ensure the best care for our clients. Our therapists must be in good physical and mental health with capacity for safe transfer of large and/or heavy clients with diminished weight bearing capacity. Practice experience of more than two years, with experience in public practice, neurological rehab, or acupuncture certification are considered assets.
WHAT CREDENTIALS ARE REQUIRED?
All staff must be registered with the College of Physiotherapists of Manitoba in good standing and hold individual liability insurance. A valid Manitoba Driver’s Licence, and current Criminal Record, Child Abuse Registry and Adult Abuse Registry Checks are also required.
WHAT AGE RANGE OF CLIENTELE DO YOU PROVIDE CARE TO?
We have worked with clients in a large age range from school age to individuals in their late nineties! The group we serve most frequently is our wonderful senior clients!

We provide care to clients wherever they reside or work!

WHAT EQUIPMENT IS REQUIRED?
Our work environments provide ample opportunities to be creative and think outside the box! We often use “equipment” from the client environment that they can easily access on a consistent basis. We do always ensure we have certain equipment at each session for use.
The basic equipment we require:
Vehicle
Cell phone, Tablet or Laptop
Treatment Table
Various exercise equipment
Acupuncture needles (if certified)/sharps container
PPE
Cleaning supplies
We also have a collection of larger pieces of shared equipment that you can access.
WHAT ARE THE WORK CONDITIONS?
MLMP proudly provides care to diverse clientele and conditions including Orthopedic, Neurological, and Cardiorespiratory Conditions, balance and mobility impairments, motor vehicle and workplace injuries. Our services currently include massage therapy, pelvic floor physiotherapy, acupuncture, neurological physiotherapy, seniors’ health rehabilitation and general orthopedic treatment. We have a commission-based payment structure and flexible hours and workdays. To facilitate a successful remote work environment we provide electronic charting, billing, booking, advertising, and marketing. We value connection and a team-focused environment and provide countless opportunities to collaborate and connect in person and online. Our experienced clinicians are available for shadowing, mentorship, and learning.
WHAT AREAS DO YOU SERVICE?
We provide care to clients living in Winnipeg and surrounding area. For any client outside the city limits, we have a mileage rate that we collect at the end of sessions. We aim to have staff provide care in a focused area of the city to limit travel expenses and time in your vehicle.
HOW DO YOU KEEP YOUR CLINICIANS SAFE?
At MLMP our top priority is keeping our staff and clients safe. Our administrative staff is available throughout staff shifts for communication should any issues arise, or changes be required. We observe your schedule to ensure you are making your way to appointments as expected. We have created safety protocols and provide training for staff to refer to and follow when working in our community. We take great care in developing our protocols considering the unique requirements of our job. We are happy to discuss this in more detail upon request.

WHAT ARE ASSESSMENT AND TREATMENT DURATIONS?
Initial assessments are 60 minutes with 45 minutes allocated for follow-up visits. Travel time is allowed for following each session.
